Specifically, in the women's singles, Vietnam has two players participating: Nguyen Thuy Linh and Vu Thi Trang. Thuy Linh, Vietnam's number 1 player, currently ranked 20th in the world , has just performed impressively at two BWF World Tour Super 300 stages in the US and Canada, including the runner-up position in Canada.

This will be an opportunity for her to affirm her name, aiming to conquer bigger milestones, bringing glory to Vietnamese badminton.

Notably, Vu Thi Trang - former No. 1 of Vietnam, received a special offer from BWF. Despite not competing much recently, the 1992-born tennis player still maintains the No. 2 position in Vietnam and has a wealth of experience in the international arena.

In the men's singles event, the Vietnamese team has two official slots for Nguyen Hai Dang and Le Duc Phat, the two highest-ranked players in the country, in the world's top 100.

In addition, the men's pair Tran Dinh Manh and Nguyen Dinh Hoang received a special ticket to participate in the tournament, thanks to their championship achievement at the Vietnam International Challenge 2025.

Compared to the last World Championship in 2023, Vietnamese badminton only had two places to participate, this time the number of participating players has tripled.

The best achievement of Vietnamese badminton in this playground is still the bronze medal in men's singles of Nguyen Tien Minh in 2013.

Now, Vietnamese badminton will place its hopes on the shoulders of Thuy Linh, Duc Phat, Hai Dang, as well as the duo Dinh Manh and Dinh Hoang.
