“Time Stream” is a program invested in and produced periodically by Hanoi Radio and Television, with the goal of rekindling musical memories, honoring works that have gone through the years in a new form of expression, appealing to modern audiences.

The combination of traditional music, personal memories and modern television language (4K recording, elaborate stage production, reports, etc.) demonstrates the station's efforts to innovate the way of enjoyment, bringing high-quality art to a wide audience.

The program with the theme “Homeland of Childhood” will bring to the audience songs about homeland, childhood, and school years. In particular, part 1 “awakens” the audience with touching melodies about childhood such as “Reo vang binh minh”, “Em di giu bien vang”, “Di hoc”, “Dua com cho me di di plough”, “Hat gao lang ta”...

Part 2, compositions about the homeland such as “My childhood homeland”, “Morning dream”, “Old memories”, “I see yellow flowers on green grass”… will depict the beauty of the Vietnamese countryside, closely linked to the land and traditional crafts. Documentary films interspersed between performances help viewers step into the space of memories in a coherent and emotional way.

The familiar songs in the program are all arranged and performed in a new, modern style while still maintaining the spirit of the song. Jazz, symphonic, contemporary folk medleys… promise to bring new emotions, proving the vitality and adaptability of old works in modern forms of expression.

In particular, some works are performed in multiple versions to create a rich experience for the audience. For example, the song “Em di dau bien vang” is performed in 2 versions: a vocal version with singer Bich Ngoc and the dance troupe and an instrumental version performed by the Dong Thoi Gian orchestra with pianist Bui Dang Khanh and flute artist Hong Anh…

Participating in this program, besides experienced artists such as Bui Ha Mien (cello), Bui Dang Khanh (piano), Hong Anh (flute), Le Duy Manh (saxophone), Xuan Thinh (guitar), there are also young artists who have grown up from the Hanoi Singing Contest such as singer Moc An (Champion of Hanoi Singing Contest 2024), Ninh Trinh Quang Minh (First Prize in light music - Hanoi Singing Contest 2024), Tu Ngoc (Runner-up in light music - Hanoi Singing Contest 2024). Also participating are artists Vy Anh, Bich Ngoc, Khanh Chi, Nam Giang, Thu Thuy...
