Bridge of love

“Lifting Dreams” is a humane television program, demonstrating the community’s concern, sharing and responsibility for the country’s future generations, especially students who overcome difficulties to study well. Over the past 10 years, the “Lifting Dreams” program, jointly implemented by Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, Agribank Hai Duong Branch, Agribank Hai Duong II Branch, and the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education, has spread profound humanistic values. Thereby, sowing seeds of hope for students with special circumstances but full of determination to excel in their studies.

Every year, 2 banks award “Lifting Dreams” scholarships to 52 students in the province, each worth 3 million VND. Through stories on television, the audience witnesses shining examples of will and determination. The students strive to overcome adversity, determined to pursue their dreams of education and aspirations to build the future. Each scholarship awarded not only has material value, but also encouragement and trust, helping the students have more determination to not give up.

Sticking with the program through each broadcast, reporter Phuong Thao and director Duc Hoan not only reported the news, but also accompanied and sympathized to connect love and spread the spirit of humanity. They did not hesitate to travel long distances or harsh weather to go to the place, listen, and record the touching stories of the resilient students. Therefore, each film, each narration is not only informative, but also contains humanity and sharing.

Since its inception, the “Addresses for Help” column on Hai Duong Newspaper of Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio - Television Station has recorded hundreds of difficult situations, such as people with serious illnesses, lonely elderly people, orphans, etc. Reporters have visited and encouraged, shared, and from there written articles calling on the community to join hands in support.

For journalist Thanh Nga, Hai Duong Radio and Television Newspaper and Station, although she has done many different works, the articles in this column always bring her many emotions. Recently, the article about two deaf and mute twins in Thanh Mien by journalist Thanh Nga has been known to many readers. People in the village, outside the commune, and children far from home have joined hands to support the family of the two children to ease their difficulties. By mid-May, the two children had received more than 52 million VND in support from benefactors. "Every time I receive phone calls, text messages of thanks from the characters, and notifications about receiving support, I feel happy. Those simple things have given us the motivation to love, be attached to, and feel happy when doing the job," Ms. Nga shared.

For over 6 years, the "Address for help" column broadcast on Tu Ky District Radio has also become a trusted address for "Generous donors". There are cases where after being called for help, they have received support of up to hundreds of millions of dong.

Reporter Nguyen Hoang, Tu Ky District Radio Station, also regularly has articles calling for charity broadcast on the station, and collaborates with Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio - Television Station. The articles when published receive support from many agencies, units, and individuals, especially the support of Tu Ky District Red Cross Society. In addition to allocating humanitarian funds to support, the society also calls on the system to help those difficult cases.
