Adam Kadyrov, the 16-year-old son of the leader of the Chechen Republic, has joined Russia's newly formed infantry battalion as an observer.

"Today I introduced Adam Kadyrov, the new observer, to the members of the Sheikh Mansur battalion of the Russian Defense Ministry ," Adam Delimkhanov, commander of the Russian National Guard in the Chechen Republic, announced on November 29.

Adam Kadyrov, 16 years old, is the son of the leader of the Russian Republic of Chechnya, Colonel General Ramzan Kadyrov.

Mr. Delimkhanov affirmed that the decision to appoint Adam Kadyrov as an observer of the Sheikh Mansur battalion "is a natural result of his important contribution to maintaining the religious, family and cultural values of our people."

"He has worked hard to improve his weapons skills and achieved great success. He is a warrior from birth with excellent command skills," said Delimkhanov, believing that Adam has the skills to fulfill his mission in the Sheikh Mansur battalion.

Adam Kadyrov appeared in a video of him beating a man who had been arrested for burning a Koran. General Kadyrov said at the time that he was proud of his son and respected him for "having grown-up ideals of honor, dignity and defending his religion."

The Sheikh Mansur Battalion was formed in October and named after the 18th-century Chechen military leader Mansur Ushurma. Major General Ruslan Geremeev, who took part in the 2022 offensive against the Russian city of Mariupol, was appointed to command the unit.
