On February 28, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police coordinated with Con Dao Airport to organize a ceremony to hand over aviation security tasks and announce the decision to establish an Aviation Security Team under the Immigration Management Department of the Provincial Police.
At the ceremony, Colonel Vu Nhu Ha, Director of the Provincial Police, and Mr. Du Kim Thang, Director of Con Dao Airport, signed a handover record of aviation security tasks at Con Dao airport, including: functions, tasks, forces, records, documents, facilities and other related contents.
The Provincial Police Department and the Con Dao Airport Board of Directors signed a memorandum of handover of aviation security tasks at Con Dao Airport.
The two sides agreed that from March 1, 2025, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police will officially take over and be responsible for performing the task of ensuring aviation security at Con Dao airport.
During the transition period (from March 1 to May 1, 2025), Con Dao Airport will continue to closely coordinate with the Provincial Police to support, guide, and maintain normal operations, without disrupting aviation operations and ensuring safety and security at Con Dao Airport.

During the transition period until May 1, relevant forces will continue to closely coordinate with Quang Nam Provincial Police to ensure that no mistakes in the field of aviation security occur; ensure that there is no disruption, disruption or impact on the civil aviation transport chain.
