On the weekend morning of August 2, the domestic gold price increased by 2.1 million VND/tael, far exceeding the 123 million VND/tael mark, reaching the highest level in more than 3 months.

Opening, the company listed the price of SJC gold bars at 121.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 123.5 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 1.6 million VND/tael (buy) and 2.1 million VND/tael (sell).

The price of gold rings also skyrocketed. Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed gold rings of type 1-5 at only VND116.4 million/tael (buy) - VND118.9 million/tael (sell), VND1.8 million/tael higher than the end of the previous day.

Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company set the price at 117 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.5 million VND/tael (sell) instead of 115.1 million VND/tael (buy) - 118.1 million VND/tael (sell).

The current price is the highest since April 22 and is only a short distance from the historical level of 124 million VND/tael.

Domestic gold prices increased sharply due to the sharp increase in world precious metal prices. At the end of the week, the international gold price "increased" by more than 70 USD/ounce, reaching 3,336.5 USD/ounce, converted to be nearly 17 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.

World gold prices increased sharply after the US President announced new reciprocal tariffs on imported goods from dozens of countries and global stock markets fluctuated.

Domestic gold prices have just experienced a week of little change. On the first day of the week, July 28, the price of SJC gold bars remained at VND119.6 million/tael (buy) - VND121.1 million/tael (sell). The next day, the price of the precious metal increased by VND100,000/tael each way, and the following day, it increased by VND300,000/tael each way, to VND120 million/tael (buy) - VND121.5 million/tael (sell).

On July 31, the gold price reversed, decreasing by 100,000 VND/tael, to 119.9 million VND/tael (buy) - 121.4 million VND/tael (sell). Yesterday, the gold price remained unchanged.

With the above developments, compared to the end of last week, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 1.9 million VND/tael (buying price) and 2.4 million VND/tael (selling price).

The price of gold rings also follows the same trend, but the increase and decrease are lighter.
