Rescued many people swept away by waves while swimming in Ha Tinh beach

(PLVN) - In recent days, the sea in Ha Tinh has had big waves and rough seas, but many tourists and locals still went swimming and were unfortunately swept away by the waves, showing signs of exhaustion.

At around 6:30 p.m. on June 14, four tourists went swimming at Thien Cam beach (Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province) and were swept away by strong waves, unable to reach shore and showing signs of exhaustion.

As soon as the discovery was made, the rescue team of Thien Cam Tourist Area Management Board on duty along the beach, along with a number of households doing business on Thien Cam sea embankment, quickly approached and successfully rescued 4 tourists, bringing them safely to shore.

Previously, at around 4:45 p.m. on June 14, the police of Loc Ha town, Thach Ha district (Ha Tinh) and local people also promptly and successfully rescued a teenager who was struggling and about to drown while swimming at Xuan Hai beach, Thach Ha district.

In recent days, due to the influence of storm No. 1, the sea in Ha Tinh has been rough and the waves are strong. Especially in Thien Cam beach area, the waves are big. Although the Thien Cam Tourist Area Management Board and local authorities have repeatedly issued warnings and reminded of the risks of unsafety, many tourists and locals still go swimming in the sea regardless.
