Da Nang discovers more than 1,300 fake skin cream products

On June 23, the Economic Police Department (Da Nang City Police) announced that the unit had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and issued a restraining order against Ms. NTMH (born in 1988, residing in Ngu Hanh Son district) to investigate the act of "Producing and trading in counterfeit cosmetics".

The product "New generation high-end whitening cream with sunscreen NANO WHITENING CREAM" was identified as counterfeit.

Previously, Team 4 - Economic Police Department coordinated with Thac Gian Ward Police (Thanh Khe District) to suddenly inspect the facility of Hanh Nguyen Beauty Trading and Service Company Limited, located at 134-136 Nguyen Hoang, Thac Gian Ward, with Ms. H. as Director.

At the time of inspection, the authorities discovered and seized more than 1,300 skin care products of various types; many stainless steel trays used for decanting cosmetics; more than 3,000 boxes, packages, stamps, and labels used for packaging and producing cosmetics.

Through investigation, the police agency determined that from 2019 until now, despite not having a cosmetics production license issued by the authorities, Ms. H. still printed packaging and bottles, bought foundation of unknown origin to decant and produce cosmetics under her own brand.

According to the appraisal results, the product “New generation high-quality whitening and sunscreen powder NANO WHITENING CREAM” produced by Ms. H. does not meet the standards as announced and printed on the packaging. According to regulations, the above product is determined to be counterfeit.
