This evening (June 4), news from the Phu Quy Port Border Guard Station said that the body of worker Tran Van Tr. was found on the fishing boat BTh 97155 Ts, which had been damaged by water and sunk the day before.
Specifically, at 1:30 p.m. on June 4, fishing boat BTh 99797 Ts, capacity 500 CV, squid net fishing, owned and captained by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Chi (born 1978, Tan Hai village, Long Hai commune, Phu Quy) discovered a body at coordinates (1032'48'N - 10858'00'E) about 1 nautical mile northeast of Phu Quy island.
Immediately after the discovery, the workers on the ship organized to retrieve the body and bring it to shore at 4 p.m. the same day. Through identifying the victim's characteristics, the family confirmed that it was Mr. Tran Van Tr. who was on the fishing boat BTh 97155 Ts that was damaged and sank on June 3, and that the authorities are searching for.
Currently, Phu Quy Port Border Guard Station is coordinating with local police to complete legal procedures and hand over the body to the family for burial according to local customs. At the same time, they are coordinating to organize visits and encourage the family of the victim. The victim's family requested that no autopsy be performed and pledged not to file any lawsuits or complaints in the future.
As reported, at 7:00 p.m. last night (June 3), fishing boat BTh 97155 TS of Phu Quy district was operating at sea when it was flooded and sank. 8 crew members on the fishing boat swam to shore and are in stable health. One crew member, Tran Van Tr. (born in 1988, residing in Tan Hai village, Long Hai) is missing.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, thunderstorms are currently developing in the Gulf of Thailand – Kien Giang , in the middle of the East Sea. During the day and night of June 4, in the area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, there will be showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
