According to Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong, Vice President of Hanoi National University, in the process of industrialization, modernization and international integration, universities are not only training centers providing high-quality human resources but also centers for scientific research, technology application, knowledge transfer, and are important elements in the national startup and innovation ecosystem.

Developing startups from universities not only applies research results to real life but also creates new products and services, solves practical problems, and contributes to socio-economic development.

In recent years, despite many efforts, the process of knowledge transfer, commercialization of scientific and technological products, promotion of startups and innovation in universities still faces many difficulties.

Therefore, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong believes that it is necessary to continue research to have synchronous and comprehensive solutions so that innovation and science and technology can truly become the driving force for growth, enhance the competitiveness of the economy, and solve urgent social problems.

Associate Professor Dr. Truong Ngoc Kiem, Director of the Center for Knowledge Transfer and Startup Support, Hanoi National University, said that strengthening cooperation between scientists, research groups and businesses is very important, an inevitable trend in the development process of countries to link scientific research with practice. This cooperation also helps the results and products created to be quickly applied in practice, promoting economic growth, improving the quality of life for the people.

"As a unit assigned by Hanoi National University to be the focal point for implementing innovation and startups, the center focuses on supporting scientists, learners as well as businesses in many development activities. In particular, the center prioritizes the issues of creating and developing intellectual property, receiving and transferring knowledge, applying scientific and technological products; incubating technology, supporting startups, developing an innovation ecosystem, training and research on demand to support business development," said Mr. Kiem.

Trusting in the technology companies of the National University, Dr. Hoang Van Ha, lecturer of the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Natural Sciences, expressed that scientists really want to commercialize their scientific research works. Because there is nothing happier than seeing the products of their research serve the community and people.

"However, we face many difficulties and limitations in doing business, raising capital, and selling products. These are limitations that need support from incubators to commercialize our brainchild, which is the scientific and technological product we create, and establish a business to bring that product to the market," said Mr. Ha.
