High concentration from the start helped the Vietnamese women's volleyball team create an overwhelming attack, but the Philippines team also pursued fiercely. Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen "warmed up" slowly but then came back strongly with effective scoring moves. In addition, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's students were also effective in the fast attacks of Bich Thuy and Nguyen Thi Trinh, so they rose to win with a difference of 25/13 in game 1.

The Philippine girls rose strongly in game 2, continuously leading the score against the Vietnamese team. The timely explosion of Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and her teammates helped the Vietnamese team have an impressive series of points, equalizing the score and then creating a 6-point gap (19/13) and then rising to win 25/21. Bich Thuy was the one who scored the decisive point in this game with a skillful move and accurate shot.

The efforts of the Philippine players helped them have an impressive third game against the Vietnamese team. This was a game where some Vietnamese players played below their best, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet also made adjustments to refresh the playing style but the Philippine team managed to win 25/23, narrowing the score to 1-2.

Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and the Vietnamese players rose strongly in game 4. The return of the main squad also helped the Vietnamese team create a solid position against the Philippines team and win with a score difference of 25/9, thereby closing the match with a final victory of 3-1.

Thus, after 2 consecutive wins against Indonesia and the Philippines, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team maintained the top position in the first round of the SEA V.League volleyball tournament. Tomorrow (August 3), Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates will compete in the final round, deciding the championship title when facing the Thai team.

The 2025 SEA V.League Volleyball Tournament is divided into 2 stages, including stage 1 in Thailand from August 1 to 3 and stage 2 in Ninh Binh from August 8 to 10. The tournament attracts the participation of the 4 strongest teams in the region, namely Thailand (reigning champion), Vietnam (runner-up) along with Indonesia and the Philippines. The Thai team (ranked 20th in the world ) and the Vietnamese team (ranked 27th in the world) are expected to compete fiercely for the championship title.
