Ms. Hoang Thi Bich (Dong Anh, Hanoi) has been selling flowers at Hoang Hoa Tham flower market for many years, sharing: "For many years, I have kept the habit of going to peach gardens in Nhat Tan or Phu Thuong to choose peaches to sell. However, this year, Phu Thuong peaches have suffered a lot of damage, so most people will flock to Nhat Tan peach village, causing the price of peaches here to increase compared to previous years."

Mr. Toan was busy tying peach branches to cars for customers to take home to celebrate Tet. Mr. Toan said that his peach garden was flooded with nearly 50% of its planting area. “Peach blossom prices this year are higher than previous years. The biggest branch I bought cost more than 3 million VND. If I bought it outside the garden, it would be even more expensive. Many branches cost almost double compared to last year,” Giang shared.

Mr. Nguyen Son Dai went to Nhat Tan peach garden to choose 2 peach branches for his family to display on Tet.

“This year’s peach blossoms are more beautiful than usual, but the prices are also higher due to the storm. Every year I buy a branch for 1.2 million VND, but this year the same branch costs up to 1.7 million VND,” said Mr. Dai.
