According to the assessment of the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the score distribution of the 10th grade exam subjects has not changed much compared to previous years. In particular, the number of candidates with above average scores in math accounts for nearly 55%, the score distribution of the exam is concentrated at 5 - 7 points.
Foreign language has about 32% of the exams with excellent scores and the number of exams with excellent scores is the highest among the 3 subjects. The number of exams with a score of 10 is 2.2% higher than last year.
In literature, about 90% of the exams had above average scores, of which more than 12% had excellent scores.
Tomorrow, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training is expected to announce the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year.
Specifically at each score level, an examiner said that scores above 8 in literature are not many; scores below 5 account for about 10%. The score range ranges from 6 to 7 points, likely lower than last year.
As for math, the average score is the same as last year, about 56.2% of the test scores were 5 points or higher and not many students scored 10 points. There were some marking groups where about 10.2% of students scored 8 points or higher.
From the average score of the 10th grade exam, the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City said that through the results of the exam, it showed that the exam was aimed at promoting the ability, creativity, and individual thinking of the student. This was also shown through the fact that the number of zero points in literature and math decreased compared to last year.
It is expected that on June 20, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will announce TS's 10th grade exam scores. If there is a need to review the exam, TS must submit an application to the secondary school where he/she studied 9th grade from June 21 to 24.
The benchmark scores for grade 10 for the 2023-2024 school year will be announced at different time points depending on the different school and class models. It is expected that the Department of Education and Training will announce the benchmark scores for grade 10 admission to specialized and integrated schools and classes on June 24. Candidates admitted to specialized high schools, high schools that organize integrated English programs and direct admission must submit their admission applications to the school they were admitted to from June 25 to before 4:00 p.m. on June 29.
After the above time, if the candidate does not submit the admission application, the school will remove the candidate's name from the admission list. As for the candidates who are admitted after the review results are available, they will submit their admission application to the school, specialized and integrated classes on July 5.
On July 10, the Department announced the admission benchmark scores and the list of students admitted to regular grade 10 of public schools. Students admitted to the high school they were admitted to submit their admission applications from July 11 to August 1. After 4:00 p.m. on August 1, if students do not submit their admission applications, the school will remove their names from the list of admitted students.
