Yemen's Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi said on March 7 that his forces would resume "naval operations" against Israel if it did not lift its blockade of aid to the Gaza Strip within four days. Israel blocked aid to Gaza on March 2 due to rising tensions in ceasefire negotiations.
According to Reuters, Israel has not commented on the ultimatum, while Hamas forces in Gaza welcomed it and called it a "courageous decision". Regarding the solution to the post-war Gaza issue, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation announced on March 7 its support for the Arab League's proposal. This proposal includes the reconstruction of Gaza under the new Palestinian government, the establishment of a fund for Gaza's reconstruction and calls for international support.

In another development, AFP on March 8 quoted Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi as declaring that the country will not negotiate on the nuclear issue if the US continues its "maximum pressure" policy.
The remarks came after US President Donald Trump said he had written to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei offering dialogue, while warning of possible military action if Tehran did not agree. "I hope you will negotiate, because that would be much better for Iran," President Trump said in an interview with Fox Business Network broadcast on March 7.
Foreign Minister Araghchi said Iran would not negotiate directly if the US threatened. In addition, the diplomat warned that Iran's nuclear program could not be destroyed by military action because "this is the technology we have achieved, the technology is in the brain and cannot be bombed."
