According to information from Hai Duong Electricity One Member Co., Ltd., at the end of the first water intake period and during the 2 days of the second water intake period from February 8, all 111 specialized irrigation pumping stations with 260 pumps of various types and 119 combined irrigation pumping stations with 513 pumps of various types (of which 50% are irrigation pumping stations) were operating stably. During the peak of the first water intake period, the whole province simultaneously operated 108 pumping stations with a total of 404 pumps, with a total pumping capacity of more than 844,900m3 . /hour, the power supply is still guaranteed to be continuous and safe.
To ensure sufficient power supply to pumping stations during the flood, district-level power companies have conducted a general inspection and review of all power lines and transformer stations, thoroughly handling existing defects in the power grid, especially for key pumping stations; and developed an operation plan in unusual situations to ensure power supply to pumping stations.
According to a quick summary of the Provincial Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd., as of February 10, the percentage of winter-spring crop areas with water in 11 districts, towns and cities in the province reached 91.4%, with 4 localities including Chi Linh, Thanh Ha, Tu Ky and Ninh Giang having completed the water intake. The remaining localities operated the second water intake pumping stations from February 8.
