Previously, Ms. BTH (23 years old, residing in Minh Thanh Ward, Quang Yen Town) after having a stomachache, her husband called a taxi to take her to Quang Yen Town Medical Center.
However, as soon as she got on the bus, Ms. H.'s water broke and her abdominal pain increased. When she arrived at the gate of the medical center, her husband was afraid that Ms. H. would give birth in the bus, so he shouted for help.
Immediately, the medical staff went to the car to check on the pregnant woman. Upon examination, the doctor and midwife found that the mother's water had broken, her cervix was fully dilated, her head was low, and there were signs of immediate labor.
The medical staff discussed and determined that they could not take the mother to the delivery room in time and needed to deliver the baby right in the car.
The team from the Department of Reproductive Health and Obstetrics delivered the baby girl on time and successfully, safely weighing 3.4 kg. The baby girl received skin-to-skin contact immediately after birth.
Medical staff urgently took the mother and baby girl into the care room.

Next, both mother and child were taken to the delivery room for care, warming, umbilical cord cutting, placenta support and continued with postnatal procedures. The health of both mother and child is stable.
Doctor Doan Thi Ngoc Anh (Quang Yen Town Medical Center) said that the reason why women give birth to babies is often due to lack of knowledge to recognize the signs of labor or labor is too fast, especially for women giving birth for the second, third or more times.
Giving birth on the road or in a car is very dangerous, with many potential risks for the mother such as postpartum hemorrhage because there is no medication to support uterine contractions, and the inability to stop bleeding in cases of complex perineal tears. The placenta may be retained, the placenta may be delivered late, causing hemorrhage and infection. Meanwhile, the baby is at risk of suffocation, cold, infection, umbilical tetanus and trauma.
According to Dr. Ngoc Anh, in the last weeks before the expected date of birth, pregnant women need to pay attention. When there are signs of labor such as gradually increasing abdominal pain, vaginal discharge, and the feeling of wanting to defecate, they need to go to the nearest medical facility for timely examination and consultation.
