On March 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE), together with the Hanoi Stock Exchange, Investment Newspaper and Dragon Capital Vietnam Fund Management Joint Stock Company, announced the joint organization of the 17th annual event "Listed Enterprise Awards 2024". Including the Annual Report; Corporate Governance and Sustainable Development Report awards. One of the criteria set by the organizing committee is that any enterprise participating in the award is an enterprise that violates information disclosure from the "Warning" level or higher in 2023 to the time of award consideration in 2024, it will not be allowed to participate in the award.
Announcing the "2024 Listed Enterprise Vote"
According to HOSE, 2024 is the first year of implementing the Vietnam Stock Market Development Strategy to 2030. One of the main goals is to improve the quality of listed corporate governance above the average level in Southeast Asia; apply good practices on environmental, social and corporate governance standards (ESG standards) at listed companies towards sustainable development according to international practices.
Therefore, this vote aims to evaluate and encourage the improvement of professionalism, transparency and information transmission capacity of Annual Reports, Financial Reports and Sustainable Development Reports, enhancing investors' access to information for listed companies. At the same time, evaluate the implementation of environmental and social activities of listed enterprises through Sustainable Development Reports, encouraging enterprises to move towards green and sustainable activities in line with regional and world trends...
Enterprises registering to participate in the Annual Report Award will be divided into financial and non-financial sectors. For the Corporate Governance Award, the table will be divided according to market capitalization... It is expected that the preliminary judging will be completed in early September and the announcement and awarding of prizes will take place in the last month of 2024.
