VnExpressVnExpress25/06/2023

Dak Lak changed the priority for graduation consideration, adding 0.5 points for a 12th grade male student after his father died in the attack on the Ea Tieu commune committee.

The Dak Lak Department of Education and Training announced on June 25 that this male student is the son of martyr Nguyen Van Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu Commune, Cu Kuin District - who died when a group of people attacked his headquarters in the early morning of June 11. The male student will be changed from priority category 2 to priority category 3 when considering high school graduation this year.

According to an official of the Department, there are three categories of candidates in the consideration of high school graduation recognition. Category 1 includes students who are not given priority points. Category 2 includes candidates who are ethnic minorities, children of war invalids, sick soldiers with a labor capacity loss of less than 81%..., who are given 0.25 points. Category 3 includes candidates who are children of martyrs, children of war invalids, sick soldiers with a labor capacity loss of more than 81%..., who are given 0.5 priority points.

Therefore, if a candidate in category 1 achieves an average of 5 points per subject, they will be recognized as graduating from high school. For candidates in categories 2 and 3, the required score is 4.75 and 4.5 points per subject.

Two weeks ago, dozens of people with guns and knives attacked two commune offices, killing nine people including the Ea Ktur Commune Party Secretary, the Ea Tieu Commune Chairman, four police officers, and three civilians; injuring two police officers and many others. To date, 75 out of 84 people involved in the incident have been temporarily detained for the crime of Terrorism against the People's Government, according to Article 113 of the Penal Code.
