Accordingly, the athletes include: Lai Thi Khanh Huyen, Nguyen Van Ha (setter); Ngo Thi Bich Hue, Pham Thuy Linh (opposite setter), Dang Thi Hong, Nguyen Lan Vy, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Pham Quynh Huong (attacker), Le Thuy Linh, Le Nhu Anh, Nguyen Phuong Quynh (middle blocker); Ha Kieu Vy (libero).

In the team, main striker Dang Thi Hong continues to play the role of captain. This player has shown stable performance in VTV Cup 2025 and is also in the national team participating in the international tournament in Shanghai (China).

At the 2025 World Youth Volleyball Championship taking place from August 7 to 17, the Vietnamese U21 women's team is in Group A, along with Indonesia, Argentina, Serbia, Puerto Rico and Canada.

In this group, the teams compete in a round robin to score points, and the top 4 teams will advance to the round of 16.

The goal of coach Nguyen Trong Linh and his team is to play to the best of their ability and try to perform well in each match.

This is also the first time Vietnamese volleyball has had a national team at the youth level win an official spot to participate in the world tournament.

The team qualified for the 2025 World Youth Volleyball Championship thanks to its fifth-place finish at the 2024 Asian U20 Volleyball Championship, held in China.

In this tournament, 4 U20 women's teams from Japan, China, Korea and Thailand won the right to enter the semi-finals and have a place to go to the 2025 world tournament.

However, because China is the reigning U21 Women's World Champion in 2024 and has a priority spot to participate in the tournament next year, the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) decided to promote the 5th ranked U20 women's team in Asia to replace them, and this honor belongs to U20 Vietnam.
