Dong Thap: Establishing 4 Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committee after the merger

On July 11, Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce decisions on organizational work and personnel under the Provincial Party Committee after merging administrative boundaries. This is a step to perfect the organization to ensure unified leadership, effectiveness and efficiency of the local political system.

The Standing Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee decided to establish 4 Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee decided to establish 4 Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committee, including: Party Committees of Provincial Party Agencies, Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, Party Committee of the Provincial Public Security and Party Committee of the Provincial Military. These Party Committees were established on the basis of merging the respective Party organizations of the two provinces of Tien Giang (old) and Dong Thap (old).

Specifically, the Party Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee was established from the Party Committee of Tien Giang and Dong Thap Provincial Party Committees. Comrade Nguyen Hai Tram, Standing Deputy Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, was appointed to hold the position of Party Committee Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.

Comrade Le Quoc Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province, holds the position of Secretary of the Military Party Committee of Dong Thap province.

The Party Committee of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province was merged from the two Provincial Party Committees of Tien Giang and Dong Thap. Comrade Tran Tri Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, holds the position of Party Committee Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.

The Dong Thap Provincial Police Party Committee was established from the two former provincial police parties. Major General Lam Phuoc Nguyen, Director of Dong Thap Provincial Police, was appointed as Party Committee Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.

Establishment of the Dong Thap Provincial Military Party Committee on the basis of merging the Tien Giang Provincial Military Party Committee (old) and the Dong Thap Provincial Military Party Committee (old). Comrade Le Quoc Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap Province, holds the position of Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Military Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee also presented decisions appointing members, Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committees of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committees; the Party Committee of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee; the Party Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Public Security and the Party Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Military.

Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee Le Quoc Phong requested that the assigned comrades need to promote a sense of responsibility, set an example, arouse internal solidarity, create ideological stability and accelerate the implementation of the remaining tasks of 2025. At the same time, carefully prepare for the upcoming Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress, contributing to the completion of political goals and tasks in the period of 2025-2030.
