Music legend Elton John announced on February 6 that he will release his new studio album “Who Believes in Angels?” on April 4, marking his return after a year and a half away from the stage with a farewell tour of his singing career.

"Who Believes in Angels?" is a collaboration between Elton John and American singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile, with lyrics written by Bernie Taupin, a longtime companion of Elton John.

The album was written and recorded in just 20 days at Sunset Sound studios in Los Angeles in October 2023, shortly after the British singer completed his farewell tour, "Farewell Yellow Brick Road."

Speaking about the new album, Elton John (born in 1947) said that this was one of the most challenging projects he had ever undertaken. On Instagram, he wrote: “The album has given me a new path. I feel like I am entering a new era, ready to open the door to what lies ahead."

The news comes two months after the singer revealed that his vision had been severely affected by an eye infection last summer. In a December 2024 revelation, Elton John admitted that the condition left him with only one eye and that his recovery was slower than expected.

Elton John's emotional performance at Glastonbury 2023 marked his final UK performance as part of his 330-date Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which concluded with a show in Stockholm, Sweden.

Although he has temporarily left the stage, Elton John's appeal has not diminished. In January, he continued to make his mark when his compilation album "Diamonds" reached number one on the UK charts./.
