FPT "joins hands" with technology company of Japan's largest airline group

FPT has just signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with ANA Systems – an IT company under ANA Group, Japan’s largest airline group – to promote innovation and optimize operational efficiency for the aviation industry.

The signing ceremony took place in Da Nang , within the framework of the annual global conference organized by FPT.

Within the framework of cooperation, the two sides will build a common operating mechanism to continuously improve and ensure the stability of the ANA Group's IT infrastructure. This mechanism is the foundation for ANA to manage and operate IT services more effectively across the group and its member companies, including All Nippon Airways - Japan's largest airline and 5-star airline for 12 consecutive years.

Continuing the strong cultural and economic relationship between Vietnam and Japan, FPT and ANA Systems will enhance human resource exchanges and coordinate the implementation of training and professional development programs. This cooperation contributes to opening up global career opportunities for the young generation of technology engineers, while demonstrating the strong commitment of both parties to nurturing high-quality digital human resources.

Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software, FPT Corporation, shared: “With extensive experience in working with global airlines, a team of engineers mastering AI solutions and a network of leading technology partners, FPT highly appreciates the prospect of cooperation with ANA Systems to promote operational efficiency and create innovative solutions in the aviation sector. This cooperation also contributes to strengthening the long-term relationship between Vietnam and Japan, creating an ecosystem that promotes growth and innovation based on technology, people and cultural exchange”.

Mr. Masahi Ohya, President and CEO of ANA Systems, affirmed: “Since 2021, we have built a partnership with FPT to promote digital transformation, including securing human resources and developing new technologies. Currently, to further strengthen the cooperative relationship, the two sides are building a joint research model, jointly implementing new project development activities and promoting human resource training programs."

"We believe that this cooperation will contribute significantly to the development of the two businesses, while deepening the friendly relationship between the two countries," Mr. Masahi Ohya emphasized.

As an IT unit with strengths in the aviation industry, ANA Systems provides a comprehensive and high-quality service ecosystem, including planning and developing specialized systems for the aviation sector, deploying airport infrastructure and equipment, supporting system operations, as well as digital transformation initiatives and regional development of member companies of the ANA Group.

With nearly two decades of presence in Japan, FPT is one of the largest foreign-invested technology enterprises in this country with 4,500 employees working in 17 offices and innovation centers across Japan, along with more than 15,000 global experts specializing in this market, serving more than 450 customers worldwide.

In 2024, FPT will record revenue of more than 500 million USD from the Japanese market. On the development path, the company aims to reach revenue of 1 billion USD and become one of the top 15 IT service providers in Japan by 2027.

The cooperation signing ceremony took place within the framework of the technology event “Da Nang - 20 years of innovation” organized by FPT, gathering more than 400 global delegates, with the participation of leaders and experts from Microsoft, IDC, SAP and many big names in the industry.

The event focused on discussing the transformative power of AI, as well as Vietnam's growing prominence as a global innovation hub.
