The Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team created an earthquake at the U21 World Cup when they defeated U21 Serbia 3-1, even though their opponent was ranked 9th in the world, 18 places higher than us.
Right in the first set, coach Nguyen Trong Linh's students entered the game with confidence, deploying a flexible style of play, coordinating well between the middle blocker and the setter, making Serbia confused and winning 25-21.

In set 2, U21 Vietnam started slowly, allowing their opponents to take an early lead. Despite their efforts to close the gap, the girls still lost by a narrow margin 23-25. However, the young team's mettle continued to be demonstrated in set 3, when fast attacks from position 3 continuously penetrated the opponent's defense, winning 25-22.
Set 4 witnessed an explosive spirit, with many excellent blocks and making the most of Serbia's mistakes. Winning 25-23, U21 Vietnam created the biggest shock of the tournament, affirming the new position of Vietnamese youth volleyball in the international arena.
