Exhibition "The beauty of Hue cultural heritage through sketch art"

On the afternoon of August 7, in Da Nang, the Hue Museum of Fine Arts in collaboration with the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts organized the opening of the thematic exhibition "The beauty of Hue's cultural heritage through sketch art".

This is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). At the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts, the exhibition displays and introduces 150 outstanding sketches, selected from a collection of nearly 1,500 sketches about Hue preserved by the Hue Museum of Fine Arts. The works are the result of the persistent creative process of many architects and artists who have directly sketched architectural works, famous landscapes, landscapes and people of Hue from 2020 to present.

The works not only recreate the external beauty of the heritage, but also express the cultural and historical depth, along with the artist's deep memories and feelings for the ancient capital.

Deputy Director of Da Nang Fine Arts Museum Nguyen Thi Trinh said that this exhibition is not only an extremely high-quality artistic activity, but also contributes to expanding the unique cultural space of Hue to the public of Da Nang city.

The event not only contributes to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the people, creating attraction for tourists when coming to Da Nang city, but is also a vivid example of the effectiveness of cooperation between museums across the country. Da Nang Fine Arts Museum wishes to continue to receive cooperation and support from other museums to develop together more strongly in the journey to fulfill its mission.

Within the framework of the opening program, the Organizing Committee introduced the space for performing Hue traditional Ao Dai with the theme "Ao Dai and Heritage", along with the activity of experiencing woodblock printing of embossed patterns on nine urns and folk paintings of Sinh Hue village.

The program attracted the participation and experience of cultural activities of local people and tourists.

The exhibition is open to the public until August 22.
