On the afternoon of August 8, Dalat University held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Ministry of Education and Training on the recognition, appointment and reappointment of the school's Principal and Vice Principal.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Ton Thien Dong, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Nguyen Van Binh, Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee's Office; Dr. Mai Minh Nhat, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Council of Da Lat University; representatives of leaders of departments and offices of the Ministry of Education and Training; departments, branches, sectors and universities and colleges in Lam Dong province.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son presented the decision of the Minister of Education and Training recognizing Dr. Le Minh Chien as Rector of Dalat University for the term 2024 - 2029.

According to the Decision of Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son: Recognizing Dr. Le Minh Chien to hold the position of Principal of Dalat University for the term 2024 - 2029 until the prescribed retirement age.

The Rector of Dalat University and the Chairman of the Council of Dalat University presented the appointment and reappointment decisions to the Vice Rectors.

Re-appoint Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang to hold the position of Vice Rector of Dalat University, term of appointment 5 years.

Appoint Dr. Nguyen Van Ngoc, Head of Science, Technology and International Cooperation Department and Dr. Tran Huu Duy, Head of Training Department as Vice Principals of Dalat University, with a term of appointment of 5 years.

Currently, the Board of Directors of Dalat University has a Principal and 3 Vice Principals. Dr. Le Minh Chien, in charge of Dalat University since June 2018.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Minh Chien, Rector of Dalat University pledged to work with the school's leadership and teaching staff to realize the development aspiration. Continue to implement the policy of fundamental and comprehensive innovation of university education in the spirit of Resolution 29 of the Party Central Committee and Conclusion 91 of the Politburo .

Focus resources on developing a team of lecturers and scientists with solid expertise and pedagogical methods, full digital skills and international integration capacity; increase the proportion of lecturers with professor, associate professor and doctoral degrees. Complete the organizational structure in the direction of streamlining, strength, efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency with a high spirit of service.

Implement organizational culture and school culture to create a united, friendly and highly responsible pedagogical environment. Comprehensively improve training quality to meet regional and international integration requirements.

Promote scientific and technological activities; improve the effectiveness of domestic and international cooperation; enhance the prestige and position of Dalat University's scientific journal. Strengthen political ideology, ethics and lifestyle education for students, pay attention to and care for students' material and spiritual lives.

Build and effectively implement the roadmap for financial autonomy; invest in upgrading the modern and synchronous infrastructure system, promote comprehensive digital transformation of the School's activities. At the same time, promote tradition, continue to do well in social work and serve the community.
