Phan Thiet University has just held the opening ceremony of the 2023 Open Female Student Football Tournament, an activity to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20. The opening ceremony was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Phi Ho - Vice Principal of the University; representatives of leaders of high schools in the province; along with staff, lecturers and students of Phan Thiet University.
The 2023 Open Student Women's Football Tournament brings together 6 teams from Phan Boi Chau High School, Phan Chu Trinh High School, Ham Thuan Bac High School, Provincial Boarding Ethnic High School, Luong The Vinh High School and Phan Thiet University. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the first 2 matches between the teams took place under the enthusiastic and exciting cheers of a large audience present at the stadium. This year's season is expected to last for more than 1 week (October 14 - 21) with a knockout format. The 4 best teams will advance to the semi-finals and finals to compete for the championship trophy on October 21, 2023.
Over the years, the women's football tournament has always attracted a large number of students from universities, colleges and high schools to compete and cheer. This is a meaningful sports activity with the aim of creating a healthy playground, maintaining and encouraging the spirit of training and competing in sports to serve the study and training of students. At the same time, it is an opportunity to exchange, learn from each other, strengthen the spirit of solidarity and cooperation between students of schools in the province.
