On August 1, at the first Google Marketing Live event held in Vietnam, Google launched a series of new-generation artificial intelligence (AI) integrated marketing tools, promising to help domestic businesses optimize efficiency, adapt to consumer trends and exploit breakthrough growth opportunities in the digital space.

The event, which attracted more than 250 marketers and advertising partners nationwide, is an important milestone affirming Google's commitment to promoting Vietnam's digital economy - which is forecast to reach a gross merchandise value (GMV) of up to 200 billion USD by 2030.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Marc Woo, General Director of Google Vietnam, informed that with nearly 80 million internet users in Vietnam, the latest AI-integrated solutions will help businesses enhance their presence on Google Search and YouTube, flexibly adapt to changing consumer behavior, optimize marketing costs as well as effectively reach customers.
Reimagining the way users search and shop
As Google Search reaches more than 2 billion users globally, new AI features like AI Overviews, Circle to Search, and AI Mode are changing the way people search for information, allowing queries using images, voice, and even video .
At the same time, YouTube continues to affirm its position as the leading video platform in Southeast Asia. In Vietnam, as of May 2025, YouTube has reached more than 55 million users aged 18 and over, accounting for more than 90% of the online population.
Notably, YouTube Shorts has become the most used short-form video platform in Vietnam. This influence is reinforced by the fact that 89% of viewers trust YouTube creators’ content and 85% admit that this content can influence their purchasing decisions.
New AI Tools Introduced
To help businesses take full advantage of this potential, Google has announced global product enhancements that will soon be available in Vietnam:
AI Max For Search: This advertising tool uses advanced Gemini models to understand website content and ads, automatically generating titles that match users' search needs without the need for long keyword lists. This makes ads appear more accurately, bringing high efficiency with less manual operations.

Google Ads with Agent Capabilities: AI agents act as virtual assistants, learning from campaign data and performance to proactively create, optimize, and maintain ad campaigns. This reduces manual work, allowing marketers to focus more on strategy and creativity.
YouTube Creator Partnerships Hub: A new tool in Google Ads that makes it easier for brands to find, connect with, and collaborate with YouTube creators. The platform allows brands to access detailed data on audience demographics, engagement, and measure the effectiveness of their partnerships.
YouTube Shoppable Connected TV: Delivers a completely new interactive shopping experience, allowing viewers to explore products directly on TV and complete purchases easily on mobile.
Strengthening connection with Vietnamese customers
One of the important steps specifically for the Vietnamese market is Google's pilot of the Click-to-Zalo feature.
Recognizing that 77% of consumers are more likely to make a purchase if they can chat directly with a business, Google partnered with Zalo, Vietnam’s leading messaging platform. This initiative allows customers to instantly connect with a seller’s Zalo account from a Google search, driving personalized conversations and increasing conversions.
The program is currently being tested with a small group of businesses.
