From the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi will have two more high schools in operation. They are Phuc Thinh High School (Phuc Thinh Commune) and Do Muoi High School (Yen So Ward).

With the addition of two high schools, the wishes of parents and students in the capital for public education will be better met.

Accordingly, on July 14, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 3781/QD-UBND on the establishment of Phuc Thinh High School under the Department of Education and Training; Decision No. 3782/QD-UBND on the establishment of Do Muoi High School under the Department of Education and Training.

Phuc Thinh High School and Do Muoi High School are public general education institutions in the national education system and the general school system of Hanoi city.

The school is organized and operates according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training for high schools; under the direct direction and management of the Department of Education and Training and relevant agencies of the city.

Having two more public high schools in operation from the 2025-2026 school year has demonstrated the investment interest of the city and the capital's education sector in building additional schools, classrooms and learning conditions with the goal of reducing pressure on the 10th grade entrance exam from the 2025-2026 school year and the following school years.
