Two trucks collided on the Ho Chi Minh route, East branch.

This afternoon, July 5, information from the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police said that on the East branch of Ho Chi Minh Highway, a traffic accident had just occurred between two trucks.

Previously, at around 3:45 p.m. the same day, driver Ho Dien Linh (born in 1999), residing in Nghe An province, was driving a truck with license plate 37H-048.48 traveling in the South-North direction. When reaching km 1078+800 of the Ho Chi Minh road, East branch, passing through Hieu Giang commune, he collided with a car with license plate 75C-079.04 driven by Phan Thanh Binh (born in 1982), residing in Vinh Hoang commune (Quang Tri province) traveling in the opposite direction.

The strong collision caused severe damage to both vehicles, causing local traffic congestion, fortunately there were no casualties.

Upon receiving the news, the traffic police force quickly arrived at the scene to direct traffic and assist the authorities in rescuing the two vehicles.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
