Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs collects over 526 billion VND in budget revenue

As of July 15, 2025, Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs (Customs Sub-Department of Region VII) collected over VND 526 billion in budget revenue, equal to 56.5% of the assigned Regional Customs plan (VND 930.6 billion) and increased by 16.7% over the same period in 2024.

Since the beginning of the year, Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs has carried out customs procedures for nearly 600 import-export enterprises; completed procedures for nearly 64,300 vehicles, ensuring customs clearance is quick, convenient, and in accordance with regulations.

The total value of import and export goods through Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs from the beginning of the year to July 15 reached nearly 784 million USD, down 23% over the same period last year, of which the import value reached nearly 456 million USD, up 60%; the export value reached more than 327 million USD, down 56%.

One of the reasons for the decrease in export value through Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs is the impact of durian. Since the beginning of the year, China has strengthened quarantine measures, so the export value of durian has decreased sharply, while this is an agricultural export product with high value.

The value of imported goods increased compared to the same period last year.

Currently, Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs continues to promote administrative procedure reform, increase support and attract more businesses to import and export goods through the area, as well as ensure good implementation of state budget collection in 2025.
