On the afternoon of August 13, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Hoc Commune, Bao Lam District, Cao Bang Province, Le Van Dong, said that in Vang Vat hamlet, Bao Lam District, two teenagers went missing while bathing in a stream.
Specifically, a group of 5 teenagers (all residing in Lang Ca hamlet, Pac Miau town, Bao Lam district) invited each other to ride motorbikes from their homes to bathe in a stream in Vang Vat hamlet, Thai Hoc commune. While they were playing and bathing in the stream, MTNQ (born in 2012) and D.MC (born in 2011) suddenly sank into the water.
When the incident was discovered, the children who were with them called for help. However, because the stream where the two children had an accident had strong currents and many deep holes, Q and C sank into the water and were still not found by the evening of the same day.
Bao Lam District People's Committee has directed Pac Miau Town People's Committee and Thai Hoc Commune People's Committee together with the police force, the district military command, and the commune militia to coordinate with the people to actively search for the two injured teenagers.
