AFP news agency on March 2 quoted a statement from Hamas forces in the Gaza Strip accusing Israel of blocking supplies and aid into this territory as a "war crime" and violating the ceasefire agreement.
The force used harsh words to criticize Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to suspend humanitarian aid in Gaza.
"This decision complicates the issue and affects the negotiation process," Reuters quoted senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri as saying.
Hamas calls on negotiators to force Israel to end sanctions against the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, on March 2, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office suddenly announced that Israel would block all goods and aid from entering the Gaza Strip, citing Hamas' refusal to accept an extension of phase 1 of the ceasefire agreement.
The statement said Prime Minister Netanyahu decided to apply the above measures from the morning of March 2, after phase 1 of the agreement ended a day earlier.
"Israel will not allow a ceasefire without the release of our hostages," the statement said, threatening "further consequences" if Hamas continued to reject the proposal.
According to senior Hamas member Mahmoud Mardawi, the only way to achieve stability is to complete phase 2 of the previously outlined ceasefire framework.
Analysts say Israel wants to extend phase 1 to bring back more hostages, while Hamas wants to move on to phase 2 because this phase includes a provision for Israel to withdraw from Gaza and end hostilities.
According to Haaretz newspaper, protests broke out in front of the homes of several Israeli ministers on March 2, calling for a ceasefire and continued negotiations to bring Israeli hostages home.
Protesters reportedly gathered outside the homes of Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, Innovation, Science and Technology Minister Gila Gamliel, Transport and Road Safety Minister Miri Regev, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and Interior Minister Moshe Arbel.
