In her opening speech, former Vice President Truong My Hoa affirmed: "11 years is not a long time, but it is a long journey that we have taken together for our homeland's sea and islands. We are proud that the club not only connects millions of hearts towards Truong Sa, but also contributes to nurturing love for the Fatherland in every citizen, especially the young generation."

According to Ms. Truong My Hoa, the club currently has 5,350 members spread across the country and abroad. Activities connecting members are deployed throughout the regions, creating a close-knit and united network for the homeland's sea and islands.
In particular, the club has organized working delegations to visit the military and people of Truong Sa island district (now Truong Sa special zone), DK1 platform, and the southwestern islands; mobilized more than 36 billion VND to award more than 2,700 annual scholarships and maintain in-depth investment education projects such as: Nurturing the future, Winging dreams, Supporting students.
At the same time, many meaningful rear activities were organized such as: building 15 comrade houses for the navy's policy beneficiaries, supporting Tet gifts for the military and people of Truong Sa and DK1 platform as well as the force performing law enforcement duties at sea.
Talking about the next phase of the mission, Ms. Truong My Hoa emphasized: "The Club continues to innovate its methods, expand its membership network, develop more exchange programs, and connect practically between the mainland and remote islands so that the spirit of For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa can spread more and more widely."

Sharing at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information (Ministry of Culture - Sports - Tourism) said: " The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the Club for Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa have contributed to realizing two major policies of the Party and State: considering education as the top national policy and taking the protection of sovereignty and development of the marine economy as a key strategy. The specific programs of the fund and the club have evoked the spirit of service, spread the love of the sea and islands , and inspired the Vietnamese people to join hands for the great goals of the country".
