What are the A80, A50 missions?
A50 and A80 are both important training and parade participation missions, however there are differences in timing, historical significance and organizational purpose, specifically:
A50 or mission A50 is the mission to practice and participate in the parade and march in the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). This event takes place in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mission A80, also known as A80, is the mission to practice and participate in the parade and march in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). This event is held in Hanoi .
The 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd is an opportunity for the army and people of the whole country to review the heroic history of the nation - when the whole nation rose up to seize power, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Propaganda content to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)
The content of propaganda for the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) is specified in sub-section 1.6, Section 1, Part II of Instruction 179-HD/BTGTW in 2024 on propaganda for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in 2025 issued by the Central Propaganda Department.
Specifically, the commemorative program is organized on a national scale, with propaganda content affirming the stature, historical significance and brilliant milestones of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam); the causes of victory and lessons learned; the creative application of the lessons of the August Revolution in the cause of national liberation and unification as well as in the cause of building, developing and defending the Fatherland.
The country's great victories and achievements over the past eight decades, especially after nearly 40 years of implementing the national renewal policy initiated and led by the Party, affirm that our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today; at the same time, highlighting the great contributions and contributions of our entire Party, people and army and the valuable help of international friends during the revolutionary stages.
Achievements in building the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, a rule-of-law state of the people, by the people, for the people.
The tradition of revolutionary patriotism, the will of self-reliance, the strength of great national unity and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country of every Vietnamese person.
Fight against and refute false, hostile information and viewpoints that distort history, deny the value and significance of the August Revolution, the leadership role of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh; protect the Party's ideological foundation, protect the socialist regime and national interests.

Organizing parades to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2
According to Official Dispatch No. 2620/VPCP-KGVX dated 2025 of the Government Office , on preparing to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), in order to promptly organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, in accordance with the direction of the Central Steering Committee in Official Dispatch No. 07-CV/BCĐTW dated March 18, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh gave specific instructions as follows:
The Hanoi People's Committee presides over and coordinates with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies to prepare well for the organization of the Anniversary Ceremony, parade, march and related tasks; develop a master plan for the anniversary activities and a plan to organize the Anniversary Ceremony.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Hanoi People's Committee and relevant agencies to develop a scenario for the Celebration Ceremony, parade and march; prepare to organize a special art program; develop a Plan for information and propaganda for the celebration and prepare to carry out related tasks.
The Ministry of National Defense shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to prepare well for the celebration, parade, march and related tasks; promptly develop a project for the parade at Ba Dinh Square.
The Ministry of Public Security shall preside over and coordinate with the Hanoi People's Committee and relevant agencies to have a specific plan to ensure security and safety for leaders, former leaders of the Party and State, delegates, and people attending the Anniversary Ceremony, anniversary activities, and prepare to carry out related tasks.
The Government Office presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies to prepare and invite leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front; leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, and organizations and Hanoi city to visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and commemorate the Heroes and Martyrs at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street, Hanoi city on the morning of September 1, 2025.

Detailed schedule of the parade taking place on the morning of September 2 in Hanoi
According to the Project on organizing military parades and marches in the celebration, military parades and marches of the Ministry of National Defense, the celebration, military parade and marches for the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 will take place at 6:30 a.m. on September 2, 2025 at Ba Dinh Square and some central streets of Hanoi.
About 30,000 people are expected to participate (not including parade and marching forces).
Specific program of the Anniversary, parade, march
- 6:30: Traditional torch procession.
- 6:45: Flag salute ceremony.
- 6:50: Statement of reasons, introduction of delegates.
- 7:05: Speeches of Party and State leaders.
- From 7:45: Parade program.
- 9:45 to 10:00: The art performance ends.
5 fireworks display locations to celebrate National Day 2025
Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed and issued Plan No. 158/KH-UBND on organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
On the evening of September 2, Hanoi organized fireworks displays at 5 locations in traditional and artistic forms, including:
- Hoan Kiem Lake
- Thong Nhat Park
- Ho Van Quan
- My Dinh National Stadium
- West Lake./.
