VNPT owns IT infrastructure, accompanies people and businesses

VNPT has proactively deployed many synchronous information technology (IT) infrastructure solutions to meet the urgent requirements of fast, safe and secure data connection, serving people, businesses and authorities in the process of implementing the 2-level local government model nationwide.

One of the outstanding efforts of VNPT is to proactively double the Internet bandwidth, bringing superior connection speed to administrative units at commune and ward levels. This upgrade not only helps to process large volumes of data generated from online public service systems, but also creates conditions for the effective deployment of modern management and operation applications.

Enhancing convenience for people and businesses

Thanks to that, localities can operate IT systems smoothly, from receiving administrative documents to organizing large-scale online meetings. Specifically, the entire system of transmission channels and equipment for online meetings from the central to the commune level has been completed and installed by VNPT, operating smoothly at nearly 2,500 commune and ward connection points nationwide.

VNPT is also the unit in charge of implementing the administrative procedure settlement system, document management and post-merger management system in 26 out of 34 provinces and cities. To meet the increased demand after the merger, VNPT has proactively upgraded its technical infrastructure and software, ensuring processing capacity nationwide. After only 31 days of implementation, the system has received and processed more than 2.3 million records, of which nearly 1.5 million records have been effectively resolved.

Not stopping there, VNPT also focused on upgrading the national data interconnection axis - considered the "bloodline" connecting information from the central to the communal level. As of July 31, the system had recorded more than 11.7 million documents, with more than 2.8 million outgoing and incoming documents transmitted through the interconnection axis and VDXP data sharing platform.

To enhance convenience for citizens and businesses, smart kiosks have been deployed by VNPT at public administrative centers at commune and ward levels. These devices allow users to easily look up, submit documents online, get a queue number and evaluate their satisfaction level in just a few minutes of operation.

Another important step forward is that VNPT cooperated with the Central Post Office (Ministry of Science and Technology) to pull cables and configure connections for nearly 2,500 specialized data transmission network channels of the Party. This system not only serves the direction and operation, but also contributes to ensuring the transmission of information over a wide area with absolute safety and security, a key requirement in the work of protecting national security and state management.

Providing fast, safe and consistent service

In the context of information security always being put first, VNPT has coordinated with communes and wards to survey, design and deploy a LAN-WAN-Internet model that meets information security standards level II. This is a practical step to ensure comprehensive information security for the grassroots government system.

In just 31 days, the rapid deployment campaign of VNPT SmartIR service has brought anti-virus software and Windows and Office software licenses to more than 46,282 workstations in local administrative units. This solution not only helps improve network security protection capacity, but also demonstrates the commitment to accompany provinces and cities to effectively implement the Government's Project 06.
