More than 100 students participate in the "Semester in the Army" program, course 17

On August 1, at Regiment 894 (under the Military Command of Ca Mau province, Hamlet 2, Phong Thanh commune), Ca Mau Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Provincial Military Command; Provincial Department of Education and Training to organize the opening ceremony of the program "Semester in the army" of Ca Mau province, course 17, year 2025, with the theme "Forging & Growing".

The Organizing Committee gave scarves to encourage the "young soldiers"

This year's program attracted the participation of 108 students (78 boys, 30 girls), from 12 to 14 years old, studying and living in the province. The "young soldiers" were divided into 10 platoons, officially entering a 7-day military experience journey (from August 1 to 7, 2025) at Regiment 894.

This is an experiential and practical educational model, creating a concentrated living environment, aiming to educate discipline, skills and will for students.

During the training period, students will be exposed to and practice many contents such as: Learning internal affairs, growing vegetables, practicing unarmed team command, participating in collective activities, physical training and life skills. In addition, the program also integrates group games, exchange activities, sharing life values to arouse patriotism, civic awareness and national pride.

The military environment will help students practice independence, discipline, adaptability in a collective environment and team spirit; train fortitude to help them overcome difficulties and challenges.

“Semester in the Army” is not only a healthy playground during the summer, but also an opportunity for children to be educated in life values, form good habits, and stay away from social evils. From there, they can build a positive lifestyle, living responsibly towards themselves, their families, and the community.
