With the theme “Green Ideas”, this year’s competition encourages students to learn more about environmental and climate challenges as well as share their initiatives, thoughts and visions on how to protect the environment and natural resources.

The contest is an opportunity for contestants to develop their imagination and put into their drawings green initiatives on biodiversity, energy saving, green energy, emission reduction, green living habits, not using plastic, etc.

The contest is part of the program celebrating the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Denmark.

At the launching ceremony, Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolai Prytz said: "I am very honored and excited to be here today to launch the 'Denmark in Your Eyes' painting competition. I believe that this will be a forum for Vietnamese students to speak up and share their thoughts, concerns, hopes and ideas on how to nurture and protect our planet. I look forward to seeing the paintings that showcase their bold, creative and inspiring ideas on how we can make the Earth a green and livable home for all."

The contest is open to all Vietnamese students, from primary to secondary school. The deadline for submission is December 20.

The winners will be announced and awarded at the award ceremony which will take place at the end of the 2024-2025 school year in Hanoi .
