The plan of Vietnam Aviation Academy received support from the leaders of Bac Ninh province, opening up the possibility of forming a large-scale, modern aviation training center in the North - a place aiming to provide high-quality human resources for the fields of aviation, logistics and technology in the near future.

According to the development strategy until 2035, Vietnam Aviation Academy is expanding its training network to meet human resource needs in fields such as civil aviation, flight operations, UAV technology, artificial intelligence (AI), aviation electronics and logistics management.

The proposal to open a facility in Bac Ninh is expected to create a breakthrough in the planning of aviation human resource training in the Northern region - which currently lacks national-level specialized training facilities.

The new facility is expected to be deployed on an area of about 30 hectares, located near the planned area of Gia Binh International Airport.

This is considered a strategic location, with the potential to form a synchronous training - practice - service ecosystem, linking training with the practical needs of the industry.

In addition to traditional fields of study such as aeronautical engineering or flight management, the new campus will focus on developing modern fields such as robotics, AI, logistics and aviation information technology - fields that are growing rapidly in the world .

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Hoai An, Chairman of the Council of Vietnam Aviation Academy, said: "The proposal to build a new facility is a strategic step in the process of modernizing the Academy's training system, while contributing to improving the competitiveness of Vietnam's aviation human resources in the context of integration."

He emphasized that expanding training to the North not only relieves enrollment pressure in Ho Chi Minh City and Khanh Hoa branch but also expands learning opportunities for learners.

The local government also expressed strong support for the project. Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, informed: "Bac Ninh province will create the most favorable conditions in choosing a suitable location, with the plan to arrange a land fund of about 30 hectares for the academy to deploy modern training facilities."

According to Mr. Tuan, this is an opportunity for the province to develop human resources associated with the future development orientation of Gia Binh airport, promoting the local economy through investment in education and technology.

Currently, the project is in the process of completing legal documents, field surveys and submitting to competent authorities for consideration.

If implemented on schedule, the new facility of the Vietnam Aviation Academy will be an important link in the national aviation development strategy, contributing to the digitalization, automation and internationalization of training - a field considered a pillar in the future economy.
