Soc Trang Provincial Journalists Association was established on September 20, 1994, with two affiliated branches: Soc Trang Newspaper Journalists Association and Soc Trang Provincial Radio and Television Journalists Association with nearly 30 members.

After 30 years of establishment, up to now, the Soc Trang Provincial Journalists Association has 169 members operating in 6 affiliated grassroots units: the Provincial Association Office Journalists Association, the Soc Trang Newspaper Journalists Association, the Soc Trang Provincial Radio and Television Station Journalists Association, the Soc Trang Literature and Arts Magazine Journalists Association, the District-level Radio Station Journalists Association, and the Soc Trang Senior Journalists Club.
In addition, there is also a affiliated professional social organization, the Soc Trang Provincial Women Journalists Club, with 55 members who are professional female journalists and female press collaborators working at district-level radio stations and media departments of a number of provincial sectors (Women's Union, Police, Health, etc.).
In addition, the Soc Trang Provincial Journalists Association has also gradually improved the organization and apparatus of the Association at all levels; innovated its methods of operation, and enhanced its role as a political - social - professional organization of journalists.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ta Dinh Nghia, Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Journalists Association, said that in recent years, the Soc Trang Provincial Journalists Association has not only focused on implementing ideological education, political training, and professional ethics for its members, but also has the regular and important task of organizing social monitoring and criticism activities...
At the same time, the Soc Trang Provincial Journalists Association also effectively organized emulation movements, professional forums and provided professional skills training for members to improve the working capacity of reporters and editors, thereby gradually meeting the political tasks of local press agencies.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association also announced the decision and awarded a certificate of merit from the President of the Vietnam Journalists Association to the Soc Trang Provincial Journalists Association for their outstanding achievements in professional work and Association activities.
