The workshop attracted nearly 100 delegates, including scientists , experts and representatives from many prestigious organizations such as: Department of Science , Technology, Training and Environment (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism); Korean Tourism Management Association; research institutes, universities, colleges; businesses and technology companies.

The workshop received dozens of presentations from scientists and experts on the application of AI in tourism education at schools. The presentations focused on analyzing the integration of AI in tourism education today.

Most delegates agreed on the effectiveness and practicality of applying AI in teaching at tourism schools. However, experts also commented that the implementation of AI in this field in Vietnam is still in its early stages and has only been implemented in a few large schools in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Therefore, in the coming time, it is necessary to expand the application of AI in training at all tourism schools across the country. This not only helps save training time but also improves the quality of human resources after graduation.

Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Doan Thanh, Principal of Nha Trang College of Tourism, emphasized: The tourism industry is undergoing profound changes, with the presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in every stage from marketing, booking to customer experience and care.

However, Mr. Thanh frankly pointed out the big gap between the strong application of AI by tourism businesses and the delay in the human resource training system. This gap is not only in facilities but also in thinking, methods and training content.

Nha Trang College of Tourism is committed to educational innovation, but firmly adheres to the philosophy of "Technology is the means, people are the goal". AI must be a tool to support lecturers, not replace the role of teachers in inspiring and guiding.

The workshop opened an important forum where experts could share valuable experiences in applying AI to tourism training. It was also an opportunity to discuss practical solutions to narrow the gap between training theory and industry practice.

More importantly, this event is also a foundation for building a sustainable and closely-connected cooperation network between training institutions, businesses and research organizations, together aiming for a sustainable development future for the tourism industry.
