Vietnam Audiology Association held the 4th International Conference in Nghe An

On the morning of August 2, in Nghe An, the Vietnam Audiology Association organized the 4th International Conference on Ear - Audiology with the theme "Connecting Technology - Hearing Care".

Audiology is a medical field that plays a particularly important role in protecting and improving the quality of life. Hearing is not only an essential sense but also a bridge for people to communicate, learn and integrate into the community. Hearing loss at any age has serious consequences, deeply affecting intellectual development, working capacity and mental health.

With a population of nearly 100 million, Vietnam is facing an increasing burden of hearing problems. Millions of people are living with varying degrees of hearing loss. This is a significant challenge, requiring the health sector to have a synchronous, scientific and sustainable strategy in hearing care.

The 4th International Conference on Ear and Audiology is a special occasion for experts in the field of audiology to share knowledge, experience and update the latest technological advances.

At the conference, scientists and experts in the field of Otolaryngology at home and abroad presented 70 reports, topics, scientific topics, the latest medical applications in the field of Otolaryngology... aiming to update knowledge, share experiences in Otolaryngology, hearing aids and cochlear implants, ENT issues as well as preventive vaccines, in order to improve the effectiveness of hearing care.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Le Thi Hoai Chung, Director of the Department of Health, emphasized: In recent years, Nghe An province has made many specific and practical efforts in the field of hearing health care.

The province has widely implemented a newborn hearing screening program to detect early cases of congenital hearing loss for timely intervention; focused on training a team of doctors specializing in Otolaryngology; invested in modern equipment; and at the same time, strengthened propaganda and raised public awareness about prevention and protection of hearing. In addition, Nghe An has also actively organized and coordinated many large-scale scientific conferences to learn and update professional knowledge.

The Director of Nghe An Department of Health pledged to continue investing, improving professional quality and expanding cooperation, with the desire to bring "healthy ears - beautiful life" to all people; at the same time, he expressed his deep gratitude to the delegates who attended for their noble acts of support for the people of Western Nghe An who suffered damage due to floods caused by storm No. 3.

Before the conference officially took place, delegates raised 144,600,000 VND to support people in the flood-hit areas of Western Nghe An affected by storm No. 3./.
