According to a report from the People's Committee of Vinh Loc district, heavy rain and strong winds on the morning of May 3 caused some areas of rice, corn and vegetables to fall and be damaged, affecting productivity.

The whole district had more than 177 hectares of crops damaged, of which 98 hectares of rice and nearly 80 hectares of corn were destroyed.

Leaders of Vinh Loc district went down to the grassroots to direct units, mobilized maximum military forces, militia and civil servants to coordinate with communes and towns to immediately deploy measures to drain water, and forced the flooded rice fields to be arranged into clusters to prevent rice grains from germinating on the panicles.
Nearly 80 hectares of corn were bent over due to thunderstorms.
For corn areas that are in the flowering and silking stages and have fallen over, it is necessary to connect with businesses that purchase corn biomass for households.
