(CLO) Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum with a total investment of 20 billion VND was officially inaugurated this afternoon (December 13).
Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum is located at Hamlet 2, Thanh Phu Commune, Cau Ke District, Tra Vinh Province, and started construction in March 2023, with a total investment of more than 20 billion VND.

The project includes a ground floor and two floors, with a construction area of nearly 1,500m2. This is the first non-public museum in Vietnam with the theme of Tra Vinh wax coconut tree - a tree with special economic and cultural value.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the establishment of Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum creates diversity for the activities of introducing and promoting the cultural heritage values of the province, with the exhibition theme focusing on Tra Vinh wax coconut tree.
Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum was established to preserve rare indigenous resources, spread cultural values and build a unique space for learning, research and experience, while also being an impressive tourist attraction for domestic and foreign tourists.
"Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum is expected to become an indispensable attractive destination for domestic and international tourists whenever they come to Tra Vinh", the Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum is a vibrant cultural space, a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity, introducing the cultural diversity typical of the Kinh - Khmer - Chinese community.
This is also a special place to pay tribute and remember the contributions of monk Thach So, who brought the precious wax coconut to Vietnam 100 years ago (in 1924), contributing to enriching the cultural values of his homeland.
