Not only UPCoM, HOSE also has many stocks with iced tea prices

Việt NamViệt Nam11/08/2024

There are currently more than 500 securities codes (including stocks, fund certificates, warrants, etc.) listed and traded on the HOSE floor, many times more than on the UPCoM floor and the HNX floor. These are considered leading enterprises in the industry and the stock prices are mostly traded higher than the par value (VND 10,000/share). However, there are still many codes with prices below VND 10,000 or even below VND 5,000 - a "tea" price, dirt cheap. Most of them are due to businesses operating at a loss or violating the stock market and the stocks are on the warning list or even under control.

On HOSE there are also many stocks with iced tea prices.

It is worth mentioning that AAT of Tien Son Thanh Hoa Group Joint Stock Company is currently priced at VND 3,470, down 30% compared to the beginning of the year. This stock has been put on warning since June 11 due to business losses in 2023 and has an exception audit opinion for the audited 2023 Financial Statement.

AGM shares of An Giang Import-Export Joint Stock Company are currently priced at VND3,110, down 50% compared to the beginning of the year. Recently, since August 9, AGM shares have been put under control due to negative equity in the latest financial report. The company has been operating at a loss for two consecutive years 2022 - 2023 and the shares have been put under control since the end of March. Business results have plummeted after AGM was also involved in a stock market manipulation case involving Louis Holdings, also known as the Louis "family" ecosystem led by Mr. Do Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Louis Holdings Joint Stock Company.

On HOSE, there are also stocks with prices so low that they cannot even buy a glass of iced tea, such as DAG of Dong A Plastics Group Corporation, which is currently only at 1,670 VND. This stock has plummeted after being put under control by HOSE due to information disclosure violations. Similarly, DLG of Duc Long Gia Lai Group Corporation is priced at 1,930 VND; HVX of Vicem Hai Van Cement Corporation is priced at 2,550 VND; TNI of Thanh Nam Group Corporation is priced at 2,400 VND...

A series of real estate stocks also extended their losing streak and fell below VND5,000, such as HAR of An Duong Thao Dien Real Estate Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company at VND3,790; HQC of Hoang Quan Real Estate Company at VND3,490; ITA of Tan Tao Investment and Industry Joint Stock Company down to VND3,580; LDG of LDG Investment Joint Stock Company plummeted to VND1,950; TDH of Thu Duc Housing Development Joint Stock Company is currently priced at VND2,960; DRH of DRH Holdings Joint Stock Company is priced at VND2,420.

Most recently, two stocks, HBC of Hoa Binh Construction Group Corporation and HNG of Hoang Anh Gia Lai International Agriculture Corporation, also fell sharply to below VND5,000 after being announced by HOSE to be delisted due to business losses. These are stocks that used to have very high prices and were bought by many investors...
