9x leader of An Phu Radiation collects more shares before delisting

Mr. Vo Thai Son - Deputy General Director of An Phu Irradiation just bought 71,100 more APC shares in April, right before the day this stock was delisted from HoSE (May 2) and transferred to UPCoM trading floor.

Mr. Vo Thai Son - Deputy General Director of An Phu Irradiation Joint Stock Company (Apira, code APC - HoSE) has just announced that he has purchased an additional 71,100 APC shares out of a total of 100,000 shares previously registered to buy. The transaction was carried out entirely through order matching, between April 9 and April 26. Unfavorable market developments were the reason given by Mr. Son for not completing the registered quantity.

After the transaction, this leader born in 1995 increased the number of APC shares owned from 800,000 shares to 871,100 shares. Correspondingly, the ownership ratio increased from 4.02% to 4.38%. With the closing stock price before the holiday of VND7,100/share, the value of the above securities assets is approximately VND6.2 billion.

Mr. Son was appointed as Deputy General Director since August 2017. With the number of shares after the new purchase, Mr. Son is not yet a major shareholder of APIC. However, Ms. Vo Thuy Duong - Chairwoman of Apira's Board of Directors, who is also Mr. Son's sister, is currently the largest shareholder, owning 40.46% of the company's capital. In total, these two individuals own 44.44% of Apira's charter capital.

Mr. Son's decision to buy more shares was made when APC's stock price continuously plummeted, reaching a record low of VND6,200/share in the session on April 3. At the same time, with the audited financial report recording a loss of VND36 billion, Apira is also officially facing delisting due to maintaining business losses for 3 consecutive years.

With the same loss in the previous two years, the total loss in the three consecutive years is approximately VND 47 billion, equivalent to more than 23% of the charter capital. However, compared to the undistributed profit after tax that this irradiation enterprise has accumulated over the years, the loss only reduces the capital from the undistributed profit item from VND 310 billion (in 2020) to VND 261 billion (in 2023). The capital buffer from the past helps the company's equity remain quite stable (VND 591 billion), contributing nearly 2/3 of the total capital of the enterprise.

According to the announcement of the Stock Exchange, the date of delisting of APC shares is May 2. Thus, after the holiday, APC will switch to trading on the UPCoM floor.

In April, the stock had a slight recovery but the amplitude was not too large with the stock price recently being in the range of 6,400 - 7,800 VND/share.
