The Vietnam - Korea Festival in Da Nang City in 2025 continues the success of previous festivals, marking an important milestone in the beginning of a new era of cooperation between the merged city of Da Nang and its Korean partners. This year's event has an expanded scale, diverse content, aiming at deeper connections between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, science and technology, culture and people-to-people exchange.
Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong said: In just 7 months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed more than 1 million Korean visitors. The city continues to affirm its position as the most favorite destination for Korean tourists in Vietnam. On this occasion, the city also held a ceremony to welcome the 1 millionth Korean visitor to Da Nang in 2025.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Chang Ho-Seung, Minister Counselor and Consul General of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam, expressed his joy that the Vietnam - Korea Festival in Da Nang has entered its fourth year. Mr. Chang Ho-Seung shared: This is the first Vietnam - Korea Festival to be held in the new city of Da Nang, after the locality merged with the old Quang Nam province and became a large city in Vietnam. Da Nang is emerging as a key growth center of Vietnam in many areas such as economy, trade, logistics and tourism.

Mr. Chang Ho-Seung emphasized that the Vietnam-Korea relationship has achieved many remarkable achievements over the past three decades. With over 500,000 people living in both countries, this is a solid bridge for bilateral cooperation. In Da Nang alone, by 2024, there will be about 335 Korean investment projects with a total registered capital of about 2.2 billion USD. Mr. Chang Ho-Seung believes that the cooperative relationship between Da Nang and local governments of Korea will become increasingly deeper in the future.
This year's festival will last until August 3, with many diverse activities such as: 80 booths introducing cultural characteristics, products and services of the two countries; exhibition of Vietnam - Korea cooperation achievements; cultural experience space, Taekwondo classes, Vietnamese - Korean cooking, K-pop dance, martial arts performances and especially nightly art programs with the participation of art troupes from both countries.
According to Mr. Chang Ho-Seung, the Korean Embassy and Consulate General in Vietnam will continue to accompany and support the promotion of friendship and local cooperation between the two countries; hoping that through the festival, the people of the two countries will have more understanding, sympathy and closer ties, together towards a common prosperous future.
