Speaking to the media, Mr. Tong Toan Thang said that the Federation is still actively mobilizing artists to donate one day's salary to help their compatriots. The mobilized amount will be transferred to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's trade union before being transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Mr. Thang also shared that the Federation is currently coordinating with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the bank to verify the origin of the account that donated the amount of 10,000 VND.
At the same time, he emphasized that the Circus Federation is reviewing all staff and artists in the unit. All leaders of the departments confirmed that no one from the Federation carried out this transaction.
Previously, on September 13, the online community was abuzz when the statement of support for flood victims from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front showed that some groups and units only contributed a few thousand or tens of thousands of VND, including an account recorded as "central circus artists group" with the amount of 10,000 VND. This caused the Vietnam Circus Federation to face criticism, causing many doubts in public opinion about the transparency of the support.
Currently, the Vietnam Circus Federation is actively clarifying the incident to protect the reputation and honor of the unit.
