Concerned about safety, railway proposes to soon clear train track coffee shop

The Hanoi Railway Exploitation Branch has just sent a document requesting the People's Committees of Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh districts and the People's Committees of Hang Bong, Cua Dong, Dien Bien and Cua Nam wards to immediately clear the railway coffee shop to ensure traffic safety.

The document clearly states: In the railway area in the wards of Hang Bong, Cua Dong, Dien Bien, there are still many violations of the railway traffic safety corridor. Typically, the opening of shops and businesses within the corridor; tourists entering this area to use services, film, take photos are very crowded, especially on weekends...

At the Tran Phu level crossing (Km 00+790, Hanoi - Gia Lam section, Hanoi - Dong Dang railway line), during the day, the police and militia forces of the wards still set up guard posts. But at night, at the time of inspection at 20:05 on November 5, 2023, after the local guard forces in the level crossing area had all withdrawn, tourists walked freely along both sides of the railway and inside the railway. Many households opened food and beverage stalls to serve tourists along the railway, especially the section of the railway running through Dien Bien ward (from Dien Bien Phu street to Tran Phu street)...

It is worth mentioning that, at the time when the authorities were closely guarding, there were still cases of many households leading passengers into the area inside the railway tracks through the entrances of their houses on Phung Hung Street. The above violations seriously threaten the work of ensuring railway traffic safety and order.

From here, the Hanoi Railway Exploitation Branch requests the People's Committees of these districts and wards to deploy comprehensive solutions to absolutely ensure the safety of the health, lives, and property of people, tourists, and assets of the railway industry, ensure security and order of railway traffic safety, and avoid recurrence of the situation of tourists and people traveling in the railway corridor area.

Arrange local guards at night to maintain compliance with regulations of households doing business along both sides of the railway; strictly handle individuals and groups that violate the law.
