According to research, coach Popov, although he has made a strong impression on the profession, violated the regulations of the tournament's Organizing Committee.
The former Myanmar U23 coach was banned from directing one match, warned for overreacting and refused to answer the press conference due to dissatisfaction with the match result.
Meanwhile, the three candidates including Coach Bozidar Bandovic, Thach Bao Khanh and Chu Dinh Nghiem, besides their professional achievements, did not violate the regulations set forth by the Organizing Committee.
With coach Chu Dinh Nghiem, despite having to lead a Hai Phong team with many changes in personnel, he still helped the team finish 6th on the rankings.
Coach Thach Bao Khanh helped Viettel finish third in V-League 2023. Under the hands of the former Vietnamese player, the army team played very tenaciously and had a solid defense, conceding only 14 goals.
Coach Bozidar Bandovic, although working in Vietnam for the first time, also helped Hanoi FC win the runner-up position in V-League 2023.
