Coach Hoang The Vinh also gave many compliments to the best player of the match and also the foreign player who just made history in VBA when he achieved a "triple-double" (having 3/5 main stats of 10 or more) in the opening match. "I consider foreign player Kentrell Barkley to be a very experienced player. This player played 39/40 official minutes and was active in both offense and defense. The performance of 28 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists for a foreign player is still an excellent achievement. Compared to Saigon Heat's star player last season, Madarious Gibbs, Kentrell Barkley plays comprehensively and has the advantage in physique," said Coach Hoang The Vinh.
At 7:30 p.m. today at Cau Giay Stadium (Hanoi), the second match of VBA 2023 will take place between Danang Dragons Club and Thang Long Warriors Club. This match will be broadcast live on VTVcab and FPT Play. This year, VBA will be organized in 2 phases: centralized competition at Cau Giay Stadium (Hanoi) from June 10 to September 3 and home and away matches from September 7 to September 30.
